The School Bells are ringing; don’t miss the Bus on Savings!!

Well I don't know about everyone else but, we're counting down the days until the "School bells start Ringing" in our house. I have to ask, are you prepared? If so, share some of the sites you found useful in the quest to save a dollar or two on getting ready for back to school.

I found savings at sites like who has $5 shipping on entire orders and shirts for as low as $5.99. And if you go to, you can get an additional 50 percent off on certain items. The Children's Place even has a savings club giving you the opportunity to earn $10 back for every $75 you spend.

Last, Tax Holidays are coming up in many areas, look here to see if your state or city is participating and where to get a head start on where to begin saving. Consider squeezing in that last family trip for the summer, and plan an extended weekend in a state that is having a "Tax Holiday". Why not shop for bargains while taking in the area attractions. Many hotels are even offering shopping packages which include gift cards to local stores.

We're headed to Mall of America, which they don't charge tax on clothing. How about you?

15 Ways to Teach Kids About Money -

The Value of a Dollar

Looking up the word "Value" in the dictionary or using, you will find yourself armed with many useful meanings for the word. Everything from how you view someone's worth, to monetary notation's for items purchased, exist for the word.
For many of us value is definitely not what we're seeing in the American dollar these days. I think we all can agree, constantly watching the market go up and down is worse than a roller coaster ride with no harness to keep you seated.
With this in mind, when was the last time you talked to your kids about the value of a dollar and how far it does or doesn't go these days. Get a head start on sharing the pros and woes of investing and saving for a rainy day. Share with them how to make wise choices with their allowances and the difference between wants and needs. Set goals for special items and tell them for every dollar saved you'll add a dollar to match.
Let's face it people, it's times like we're in now, where the real lessons of the value of a dollar are learned. And who better to teach them how to spend wisely then you.

Buying Kids Shoes

Today I have decided to focus on how to successfully buy kids shoes online. Many times we see great bargains for the little ones we would love to take advatage of, but aren't sure how to properly fit the kiddos without an expert salesman and the shoe sizer at the store. Wonder no more since I came across this great article on how to measure and buy shoes online.

Shopping for Justice

Well everyone it's that time of year again when we all rush to the stores in search of school supplies that take you to more than one store in search of everything on the seemingly endless list, to buying outfits the kids will be out of before the first Holiday rolls around. To help ease some of the pains of going in the purse, I've decided to go on a mission to help save the day, or at least a few dollars. I'm shopping for justice and hope all of you will join in the fight. If you see any savings out there big or small please be sure to share the site with the rest of us who are attempting to clothe our children in the latest fashions for the upcoming school year and do share your thoughts on how you're able to get it done without dipping into the college savings.
