7 ways to beat inflation

Fall is upon us and we all know what that means, increased utilities, spending more for those comfort foods we all enjoy as it get cooler, and of course the beginning of weeks of preparation for all the upcoming fall and winter celebrations. Since the value of every body's dollar is not keeping up with the cost of those many items we're having to buy, I thought it would be a good idea to share a few tips from Lending Tree which I found to good not to share. Of course we all love to buy what we want, but in times like these, tweaking a few areas after looking at your spending habits may require you to cut down or cut out altogether a few of those chai tea lattes and weekly mani/pedi's one just can't seem to function without.
Lending Tree has put together a few tips to help us all out in case you don't know what to do in this inflated economy with your deflated dollar to get started.

Dressing for the cooler days.

Hello everybody, decided to put some reminders out for everyone since cooler days are ahead. Seems like just yesterday we were all headed to the pool. Now the time has come to put away the swimsuit cover-ups and pull out the jackets and sweaters. Following is a list of personal tips I'd like to share for the upcoming cooler days:

1. Dress in layers. It's easier to take have it on and take it off than not to have it at all.

2. Pack a sweater or jacket in the kids backpacks. Of course they'll resist since they never get cold.

3. Purchase a pair of rain boots and raincoat for those damp days.

4. Keep a blanket in your trunk. You'll thank yourself many times over at those early morning soccer and football games while you're cheering on the sidelines.

5. Purchase a throw. It's quite versatile and can be use for keeping you warm to a table cloth at a tailgating party.

6. And last for those of you who like to cozy up by the fire, now would be a good time to clean the old ashes out and have the fireplace checked out so it will be ready when you're set to mood.
